My New Shoes

I got new shoes today. They are black and white. We got them from the Warehouse. There are lines on them. They have diamonds on the bottom of my shoes. There are spots on the bottom of my shoes too. My mum got them from the Warehouse. They look cool. We also got black jandals. My mum and dad got shoes too.

The Rat In The Roof

On mothers day we had a special dinner at my Nana and Granddad's house.  There was a rat in their roof, they killed two rats in their roof.  The big rat ran away so they put a trap in their roof then two rats had a family in their roof.  Mum screamed when she saw them.

Have you captured the beauty of the rock pool creature that you observed?

Yes. I looked at the pictures that were on the floor of the classroom. I put patterns in my picture that are the spikes of the kina.

How difficult was it to transfer the patterns from your observational drawing to your Batik?

It was hard trying to draw it like my first picture because I wasn’t doing it with a pen, I had to use wax and it was going all over the place. I was using a Tjanting with wax in it. A Tjanting is like a pen.
